Mission Statement

Vocal Voyage empowers young people aged 11 to 24 across Conwy and Denbighshire to find their voice, build confidence and self-esteem, and feel part of a supportive community.

Through mentoring, youth groups, and awareness-raising, we help young people with speech and language difficulties connect, socialise, and thrive.

Young People

We support young people aged 11–24 with speech and language difficulties through mentoring, youth clubs, and safe spaces to connect. Our goal is to help them feel confident, understood, and empowered

Schools

We partner with schools by offering on-site mentoring, awareness sessions, and staff support to help identify and better support students with speech and language difficulties. Our approach complements what's already in place, adding an extra layer of understanding and care.

SALT Community

We work alongside the SALT community by offering non-clinical support that complements therapy — focusing on confidence, self-esteem, and social connection. Our mentoring and youth work give young people a safe space to grow beyond the therapy room

Mentoring

Mentoring at Vocal Voyage gives young people someone to talk to — someone who understands. It's about building self-esteem, confidence, and feeling supported every step of the way.

Youth Groups

Vocal Voyage youth clubs are relaxed, welcoming spaces where every young person has a speech or language difficulty — so everyone understands each other. It's a place to build confidence, make friends, and feel like you truly belong.

Raising awareness

We raise awareness about speech and language difficulties by sharing real experiences, challenging stigma, and helping others understand what it's really like. It's about creating a more informed and inclusive community
